Submission Guidelines

LurkaTheme is a curated discovery engine. We pride ourselves on connecting developers with only the highest quality templates and UI components available on the internet.

To maintain this standard, every theme submitted to our platform undergoes a manual review by our editorial team. Please read through our quality standards before submitting your portfolio for indexing.

1. Design & UI/UX Standards

First impressions matter. The visual architecture of your theme is the primary factor in whether it will be accepted into our directory.

  • Modern Aesthetics: Layouts must feature modern design principles (good typography, appropriate whitespace, balanced color palettes). Outdated or "cluttered" designs will be rejected.
  • Fully Responsive: Your themes must look and function perfectly across all devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile).
  • Professional Presentations: Your landing pages and live previews must be highly polished. We extract your preview environments to showcase to our users.

2. Technical Requirements

Because we route high-intent traffic directly to your website, your infrastructure must be reliable and your code must be clean.

  • Working Live Previews: You must provide a stable, fast-loading URL where users can interact with your live theme demo. Broken links result in immediate unlisting.
  • Functional Checkouts: If you are submitting premium themes, your external website must have a secure, working checkout process or download mechanism.
  • No Malicious Code: Themes containing malware, hidden crypto-miners, or deceptive pop-up scripts on their live previews will be permanently banned.

Directory Routing Model

Remember, we do not host your downloadable `.zip` files. We are a search engine and directory. When a user clicks "Download" or "Purchase" on our site, they are redirected to the specific URL you provide us. You handle the transaction; we handle the traffic.

3. Asset Preparation

When you submit your items, our team will manually construct your showcase page. To make this process seamless, please ensure your own website has the following available:

  • High-resolution cover images or screenshots (preferably in a 16:9 aspect ratio).
  • Clear documentation or feature lists detailing the technologies used (e.g., React, Tailwind CSS, Laravel).
  • Clear pricing information (Free or Premium).

4. How to Submit Your Work

Currently, we handle all author onboarding and theme indexing manually. If your portfolio meets our standards, we would love to feature you.
